About Nancy

Nancy Intermill was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. After graduating with her Masters degree in Gerontology from the University of Southern California, Nancy moved to Manhattan, Kansas where she met and married Mark Intermill, her husband of 29 years. In 1990, Mark and Nancy - along with their children Jessica and Micah decided to make Lincoln their home. They chose Lincoln for its vibrance and opportunity. Nancy decided to run for Lancaster County Commission District 4 because of her desire to restore Lincoln and Lancaster County to that high standard of living.

Nancy held positions in higher education and human services for over twenty years, including service at the Sociology Department at Nebraska Wesleyan University and the State of Nebraska's Department of Public Institutions and Health and Human Services System. Nancy is currently the president of Accountable Solutions, a contract grant writing business, and she also owns a home-based beverage distribution company.

Nancy, in addition to her service to the community through paid positions, is a long-time community volunteer. She has held numerous leadership positions in a variety of organizations. She is past president of Nebraska Business and Professional Women, Inc., as well as the Lincoln/Lancaster Women's Commission, and served on the Lancaster County Election Board for twelve of the past sixteen years. Additionally, she previously served as a trustee of Congregation B'nai Jeshrurun and on the Board of Directors for the Lincoln Jewish Federation. It was for her leadership and commitment to community service that Nancy was named Lincoln/Lancaster Volunteer of the Month in January, 2005.

Currently, Nancy is an active board member of the Lincoln/Lancaster League of Women Voters and the Nebraska League of Women Voters. In her spare time, Nancy enjoys knitting and spending time with her family and friends.
