Deliver services that provide for the health, safety and
well-being of all county residents.
Two important services that county government is responsible
for delivering are corrections and mental health services.
These two related services are critical to promoting the well-being
of the entire county. I will use my experience as a practitioner
and planner in the mental health field to make sure that these
services are delivered to the best benefit of the citizens
of the county.
Operate the county efficiently.
Like most residents of Lancaster County,
I pay property taxes. I have experienced the sticker shock of
opening that envelope from the County Treasurer's office. But
I also recognize that the county performs services that are
critically important. We need to make sure that services are
delivered efficiently, that new ventures are entered into prudently,
that we explore mutually beneficial partnerships with other
governmental entities and the private sector and that the public
is fully informed as the Commission moves toward decisions.
